Yury Gitman‘s Making Toys class for the Parsons MFA in Design and Technology program has been using my book to create “physical interfaces for play.” The students have put some serious creative spin on the example projects! My Doorbell Example, among others, has been turned into traffic lights and hostile interaction mediators, bathroom spies, dog dish annunciators and a Santa detector. In the next part of the class students will “envision, research, prototype, user-test, and document a project of their choosing.” Can’t wait to see what their fine and fractured minds come up with next.
