Applying for Interaction Design MFA

Friday, January 28 is the nominal deadline for students to apply to the MFA Interaction Design program at School of Visual Arts for the class of 2013. But don’t panic. The program will continue to accept applications on a case-by-case basis as space allows. If you are a user-centered designer with a cross-disciplinary set of interests, come from a design or design-minded field, and are a systems thinker, then definitely consider submitting an application. It’s one of the two terrific programs that I teach at in New York City.

In 2012, MFA Interaction Design will be opening a Visible Futures Lab. This will be a venue for students to make more physical projects, do research, and present work to the public. Sounds pretty interesting, and one more reason to get involved.

  1. I’m an architect, working in Bangalore, India right now, and i’ve always been interested in seeing how the fields of interactive design and architecture would work together.

Do you think this course would be right for me? And could you send me a little more information, or maybe some context as to how it could work?

    Thank you
