I started the power generation monorail project by trying out a quick LEGO prototype. First I created a conveyor system using their instructions:

So I designed another system that works more like a monorail. That also worked nicely.

The monorail was my first opportunity to experiment with minimum constraint design. In the end I think the project will use more of an I-beam design. There’s some good items at this monorail design site that are inspirational.
